Ok, this scarf I started on a business trip to London, for lack of anything else to knit at the time. I had printed out the Kpixie Karaoke scarf pattern, and I wanted to try it. However, I was in a rush, and had no good yarn, so I decided out of desperation to just use some of the vintage acrylic I accidentally bought off of ebay. Turns out it did some sort of wacky self-striping. Brown and white, and then a pink stripe that waves back and forth along the whole length of the scarf:
Here's a close up of the cables and fringe--it's the first scarf I've made fringe from:
Yarn: Ombre Sayelle from KMart, vintage acrylic
Pattern: Karaoke scarf from Kpixie
Needles: Size 8US straight Pony plastics
Notes: Great pattern. Easy to follow. I did most of the cables with a coffee stirrer.
For Salwa, one of my friends from work, who I hope will appreciate the brown and pink color scheme...
